No one answers the phones at Budget. The same voice menu prompts all take you to lost and found. Upon finally getting someone to confirm that Budget staff will be at the airport despite a late arriving flight, security told us they left 15 mins before I walked in (i.e. after the flight had actually landed). Really frustrated with Budget and will not rent from them again.

Rental company tried to force me to take an electric vehicle saying it was their choice. I was told the car had a driving range of 200 miles and must be returned with 70% of battery life. Rental companies are stuck with electric cars that are not wanted by renters. This was a bait and switch situation. I was forced to take the large SUV at a higher price.

The woman at the service desk was very kind. Unfortunately, the mini van was damaged before I got it off the lot so I had to get another one. The second van was not clean. Very poor representation for Budget.

Car wasn’t as clean as I would have thought they should be for new users The guy who checked us in and the guy who received us after were great! We decided to add a driver after we left and we called Hertz to add a driver and we were told we had to find a nearby Hertz and travel to it. The person on the call told us we could t add someone over a call. When we interrupted our vacation time and walked to a nearby Hertz, the guy said, “You could’ve just did this over the phone.” So, this guy knew his business. I wish people on the phone would be trained correctly because that cost us part of our short three days in Ireland.

David Moore ( the branch manager) was so kind, friendly and helpful. I have a lot of anxiety, but he was very calm and patiently explained things to me and answered all of my questions.

We had a reservation for a company car which showed a price under $250. Once we arrived, Hertz attempted to raise the price of that rental to 600+. In addition, the companies choice was only an electric vehicle (which is cool but that should be made known). After going back and forth, and disputing a in city fee which was just an. upcharge we were able to get the rental for around 350ish. I believe the formatting was of what we would pay was not forthcoming

Car exterior was very dirty. Windshield wipers needed to be replaced. Customer service was great, but also slow due to staff shortage.

The car had a strong vibration throughout the drive tha.There was clearly a lack of cleaning.. there is a sticky substance around the gearshift. I use the supplied cleaning, wipe wipe to clean .

Pros:

Pickup and dropoff were a breeze

Cons:

Car was filthy, but I rented at the last minute so maybe there was no time to clean? Windows had paint pen on them, windshield had tape on it like it had just been replaced, interior hadn't been cleaned and there might have been mustard on the steering wheel!
