Vehicle required maintenance causing a trip disruption. Alamo was contacted and so far have failed to address the issues. Also vehicle was dirty upon pickup at SEATAC.

Pros:

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Mechanical condition of vehicles was big problem. Went through 3 cars in a week. One (the 1st) had brake trouble, another (the 2nd) actually broke down on the freeway 20 min. after pick-up. Also, all offices closing at 6 PM is a big problem if you need to replace a broken car after that hour.

Pros:

The drop off was easy and the car was alright. Just not the car we asked for.

Cons:

Given the car we asked for. The ford explorer we were going to get wouldnt start so they swapped it out for a cx9 and we just werent impressed after paying the upgrade fee

Pros:

Very quick and easy drop off place. Then got a quick ride to the terminal.

Cons:

It was hard to find the drop off site by GPS so we had to rely on signs alone. Upon exiting, the road split and it didn't tell us which one to take so we had to ask for directions. Other than that, it was fine.

The car I rented was not fully cleaned inside or out, there was nowhere to make damages on the vehicle prior to rental. The gas tank was only filled to 3/4 when I received it.

I'm sorry I didn't go to deliver the car and I didn't travel to Seattle. I have Covid-19. I tried a lot to call the car rental company but no one answers the call.

I was charged with the lost damage coverage which I had declined and I have had no response from the rep or manager on resolving the issue. Will not be doing business with this company in the future.

I asked for a Toyota Camry or equivalent. They had one, but the agent asked if I wanted to be bumped up to a BMW 3. Between him wearing a mask, having a glass wall between us, him speaking rather quietly and me being 75, I thought he said "free upgrade". Turns out it cost me $150 for three days. Nice car but I didn't need the upgrade and would have declined had he communicated more clearly. Other than that, not a bad experience.

The agent who checked us in at the Seatac rental facility was wonderful. She made the whole experience top notch.

The only downside to my experience was being quoted the cost, paying it upfront and then having it double after the rental. Still try to navigate Sixt’s support which has so far been akin to climbing Mt. Everest.

Good selection of cars. Easy pickup.

Cons:

Several vehicles I chose - but didn't drive away - wreaked of cigarettes! Are you guys charging/fining people afterwards when they blantantly disregard the agreement terms that say NO SMOKING - because National is clearly NOT doing anything to actually clean the horrible smell from the vehicles. This is a big problem I always have with National and in general the rental industry effectively encourages people to smoke in their vehicles as the do nothing to enforce - or recitify the problem after the fact.

Rental company tried to force me to take an electric vehicle saying it was their choice. I was told the car had a driving range of 200 miles and must be returned with 70% of battery life. Rental companies are stuck with electric cars that are not wanted by renters. This was a bait and switch situation. I was forced to take the large SUV at a higher price.

The woman at the service desk was very kind. Unfortunately, the mini van was damaged before I got it off the lot so I had to get another one. The second van was not clean. Very poor representation for Budget.

The vehicle had 2 worn back tires. The truck was filthy, windows in the back were smudged with kids finger prints, hair ties with blonde hair throughout the truck, dead bugs on the side of the door, water bottle from previous driver under seat. No sign that the truck had even been vacuumed.

We had a reservation for a company car which showed a price under $250. Once we arrived, Hertz attempted to raise the price of that rental to 600+. In addition, the companies choice was only an electric vehicle (which is cool but that should be made known). After going back and forth, and disputing a in city fee which was just an. upcharge we were able to get the rental for around 350ish. I believe the formatting was of what we would pay was not forthcoming

It was a terrible experience. We thought Hertz had the reputation for being the premier car rental agency. But several things happened during this rental that will make us never rent from them again. 1. The minivan we reserved was not even on-site when we arrived to pick it up even though I had called and talked to local rep the day before confirming when we would arrive. 2. The price we booked it at was not the price in their system and it took them calling an off-site manage to correct the rate. 3. Most importantly, the van we received 90 minutes after our designated pick-up time was not safe. When we started loading it with our items we noticed that the front passenger side tire was missing a lug nut. Upon further inspection we realized that the head had been sheared off meaning it had been stripped and if we had to change a tire we would not have been able to. We could not believe that their inspection at Hertz had failed to notice such an unsafe condition. We were unwilling to risk driving 900 miles on a tire that we did not know if it had been correctly mounted or what condition it was in. Finally, we had a add windshield wiper fluid to reservoir because it was completely empty. This was before noticing the tire situation. We promptly returned the van to Hertz, received many apologies from the representatives and took a smaller vehicle than we had originally wanted in an effort to get our trip underway. Poor service but more importantly being given an unsafe vehicle is unconscionable.

Hertz refused to honor the Kayak price, said Kayak had made a mistake and they wouldn't do anything about it.They quoted a price that was 250% higher than the Kayak price and wouldn't budge. I was told that Kayak is a third party agent and couldn't make an offer like that. I tried calling both Hertz and Kayak customer service and had no success. I am very disappointed in both Hertz and Kayak and do not intend to use either again.

There was nothing I like about this car rental.experience. Lines were long and there were an incredible amount of people in line. Lastly, I was forced to get collision insurance It was explained to me that the is company doesn’t compare with Heryz, Budget. Avis and /of none of the big company rentals. In a nutshell I won’t be renting from this company agai. The use deceit practices.

This was a scam. Deceptive marketing with hidden fees and predatory practices on the consumer. I canceled reservation onsite , didn’t take the car and will never use them or affiliate rental companies. I will never recommend them.

Online your able to pay with an American Express Card. When you get there after a long flight and a a long drive from Mimai Airport to get there....they tell you we do not accept American Express cards. Mr and two other customers went through the same thing...there was a lot of upset people in the same boat...yelling, arguing. I will never use them again! Stop accepting American Express online for carwiz!

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.

I had no windshield washer fluid in the car, window had tire shine on it so no matter how much I cleaned it during my travel from Seattle to Spokane I literally couldn’t see and the pass was horrible with snow so that didn’t make my trip any easier I don’t usually comment or leave a negative review ever! Like ever but thought I should say something about it. Sorry if I offended anyone but I use cars pretty often

One way drop off was easy and Walla Walla staff was great.

Cons:

Long line. Condescending, snippy desk agent couldn’t be bothered. We reserved a car we knew we’d fit and she insisted we wouldn’t and aggressively unsold a different category. Turns out it was the same size with an even smaller trunk. For more $$ of course.
